We’ve put all of our booking, scheduling, and payment steps into one place: the Jane app.
Any of the buttons on this site offering consultations, appointments, or sessions will take you to Jane, where you’ll be prompted to make an account and select a timeslot that works for you.
Free consultations can be booked completely independently. For full therapy sessions, it is preferred that you complete a consultation prior to booking. See the FAQs on consultations for a full explanation.
Still, we know that sometimes mental health support is needed quickly, so we’ve left online booking open for full sessions.
-
Our free consultation is a chance for you and your therapist to get to know each other and discuss what you’d like to work on. The connection between you is the biggest predictor of whether you get the results you want out of therapy, so this time is valuable.
Your therapist will describe their counselling approach and philosophy, you’ll have a chance to ask any questions you have, and you’ll also have have some time to just talk.
Use the consultation to make an informed decision about whether you want to move forward together. There is no obligation to book further sessions after a consultation.
An important note here is that since consultations happen before you’ve signed any confidentiality and informed consent forms, we’ll need to be thoughtful about how we talk about your specific personal concerns.
-
After your consultation, if you choose to begin therapy with Integrate, there are a few key steps:
You can book your first appointment right from our website. Click any of the ‘book an appointment’ links and you’ll be taken to our Jane App page.
Have a look at our availability and choose a time that works for you.
Once you’ve booked an appointment, you’ll be sent the informed consent and confidentiality forms that help make sure our work aligns with the highest ethical standards. You can sign these online or they can be completed with your therapist. Either way, you’ll have the chance to ask questions and get clarity on any aspect of these forms in your first session
Getting Started
-
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, therapy at Granville is covered by a variety of private and workplace health insurers. Whether your insurer covers therapy will differ by provider.
I accept direct payment from a growing list of insurers. If yours is not on that list when we begin our work together, please let me know and I will work to establish a direct payment option.
Invoices for reimbursement purposes are provided automatically by the Jane app.
-
Payments can be made the day of your booked session, and must be made no more than a week afterward.
The simplest method is to upload your credit card information to your account in our secure online booking and payment app, Jane. You’ll be offered the chance to do that when you start your account.
I also accept e-transfer and cash, and am happy to go with the easiest option for you.
I accept direct payment from a growing list of insurers. If this isn’t currently available with your specific insurer, I will work to establish this option.
-
If you’re cancelling more than 24 hours from your appointment, you can do this seamlessly. Life happens, and making room for that is important.
If you’re cancelling within 24 hours from your scheduled appointment, a late cancellation fee will be charged to your account. This is because that spot was held for you and other clients may have been turned away.
If paying this fee will be disruptive, please let us know at max@granvilletherapy.com
